INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF KYRGYZSTAN (IUK-ISM) Tokmok Campus MBBS

THE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF KYRGYZSTAN (IUK) was created in 1993 by a special Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic that gave the university the status of an international higher education institution.

The International School of Medicine was created in 2003 as a structural part of IUK.
The main foundation for the school’s establishment was a strategy of reforming the Kyrgyz education system and increasing the competitiveness of domestic universities, which resulted in the main emphasis of ISM administration and faculty being focused on the creation of a modern dynamic educational institution that can provide high quality training and has competitive potentials in the medical education market.

Nowadays, the International School of Medicine is a contemporary institution with a complete infrastructure and experienced faculty members who are nationally and some of them internationally acknowledged professionals in many fields of medicine, professional health organizations, and agencies.

As stated in the rector’s welcoming speech, “great intellectual potential, close collaboration with major medical institutions, use of contemporary technology, and personalized approach to each student assure excellent quality of training and future professional successes of our alumni.”

Although hard effort is the key to academic achievement for all instructors and students, the major foundations of school successes are three core principles: equity, quality, and transparency, which are expressed in our school Mission and Vision and built in accordance with the ISM integrity code.
